    did the dealer say why the quality crashed? Mine said that the Chinese started buying up all the coal about 3-4 years ago, so they ship the good stuff over there, and we get the scraps. I got a ton...

    the coal stove I have has a blower, you use insulated pipe to get the heat up stairs, the stove itself heats the cellar warmer than no heat at all, so no extra fuel as your thermostat is upstairs,...

    instead of insulating the ground floor, you should look at a coal stove and heat your cellar and pipe the heat upstairs. If you don't have a fire place they have direct vents that will go right...

    same here, i did add r30 above the r30 already in the attic. How good has your coal been the last few years? mine has gone down hill rapidly.

    thats the other reason you should use one of the additives, If I remember correctly there is no lubricant in the kerosene, that also included in the additive.

    do you put any additive in the diesel, I use stanadyne and have only had it jell up twice the first year of the ULSD. also if you fuel it up in SC, you probably aren't getting the northern diesel...

    Jan 18th was windy and raining, I know the ones I checked didn't get out. make sure you have upper entrances so they can get out if it ever does warm up.

    If you are referring to the drench as being off label, it is on the label as of a few years ago, last time I looked. I just can't remember if I looked at the Canadian or US label, I do remember...

    you have to take the ear muffs off and put the two ends in your ears:thumbsup: I have the same problem the end of the stethoscope on the hive makes so much noise I can't hear anything else.
