No, added the queen cage and let the hive eat trough the candy. Slow release.
How do I tell the difference?
Back on march 20th I managed to kill a queen of one of my hives. On April 5th I added a new queen I bought. I just checked to see if they acepted the queen. I can't find the queen or any eggs....
Thanks for all the replies. Just wasn't sure.
Putting a frame of brood in the next super is a good idea. It also gives them the guide to build out the frames next to it. Don't worry a about the frame that are only 3/4 build out.

I hope so. I feel so silly for letting the queen get out, I just did not push the marshmallow in good enough. Installed two packages, one went good, one I messed up.
How screwed am I? What are the next steps? Check in a week and queen if I see no eggs?
Thx

I have a hive stand that may fit 3 hits next to each other. Wondering if there is some best practice on how close you can put them next to each other.
So in this method do you still use a inner cover? I would think that there not enough space between inner cover and the frames.
Been doing this in the winter. Seem like the bees are taken it. I only have two hives, so it is not a big deal to give the sugar every two weeks or so. I also mix it with Bee Pro from Manlake. I...
