Has been to cold up here for syrup feeding.
Night time temps need to be above freezing to feed liquid.

    Re: Bee Yard/staging area ?

If you do choose to wander over to them, you'll probably get your picture taken along with the deer! Remember, you can't run very fast in the snow.

    Re: Bees Flying Today

Today was our first cleansing flight for 2015 also.

    Re: Buckfast Queen source

I see no mention that the Kalamazoo club will order Buckfast queens again this year.
What I heard, $50.00 a pop and most didn't survive the winter.

    Re: Modified Queen Excluder

We've always referred to those as a timing box.
We cut the metal queen excluders with a pair of bolt cutters.

Re: Open Feeding (Open Feeders) methods

Thanks Ian, we'll stop over there today.
I have drum fed last few years, just want something easy to haul.
The tall top looks like the key to these working.

    115 liter laundry tub.
I'd like to try some of these next year.
Now, where can you buy some?
I've been to 5 stores already with no luck!
  15. Re: OA vaporizer - dedicated battery or the one in the truck?

Frank, we just use the battery off the riding lawn mower. Light weight and about $25.00 for a new one. It carries enough voltage to get the job done. You can use regular lamp chord to make a longer...

Re: How much hose on your bee vacs?

35ft. It's like a waterslide straight down. Only time we use that much hose is when we have no where to set the catch box closer. Have used that length with success though.
