    Re: Sanitizing Honey Jars

As far as new glass canning jars goes, there is a residue inside them that does not come off in the dishwasher. We hand wash our new canning jars for this reason. It seems to be an oily residue.

Re: Couple Balm Questions. Labels - Pouring

    Hambone,
Rather than use a dixie cup, use a clean, waxed carton from orange juice. Put a little water in the bottom first then add the (filtered) melted wax. Rip off sides when wax is hard.

Re: how do you do it ?

An apitherapist told us to do the following:

Do a quick (short duration) test sting to test for allergy (ice first). After 15 minutes with no allergic reaction, you may proceed. Ice the area...

Use one layer of heavy duty paper towel. I line a stainless steel BBQ basket. Drains into a SS pan with distilled water in it. Did this yesterday and it looks completely clean and beautiful.

    Roland,

Re: Does his look like what I think?

I wonder if they die instantly or if they try to make it back to the hive they are from. Anyone know? I ask this because we have two hives in our back yard and have found "lucky" drones (in two...

  19. Re: Are stings supposed to feel good, almost addictive

Ok, just to be clear, we did not have any allergy to bee venom and we tested with a short sting before we began the very first time. We started apitherapy and stung 3x a week and started slow,...

  21. Re: Are stings supposed to feel good, almost addictive

After developing an immunity to bee venom (little swelling or itching), I found that more than a dozen stings to the ankle made it feel really good. It's a good, soothing, warmish feeling and feels...

Recommend that you do not get the smallest smoker. The larger one is easier to light and keep it going.
