    I usually don't need gloves or veil but once last year and once this year they were really pissed at me. Veil and gloves were needed.

    I don't get why you would freeze them. doesn't that just turn the honey to sugar ? How do you extract it once it is crystelized ?

    no it wasn't treated as I recall. Painted now.

    I haven't used any screened bottom boards.

    They were under a big oak tree. I'll have to find a more full sun position for them next year.
