    Had a late season swarm get taken by Yellow Jackets. Found them yesterday. They were not a real strong hive but hoped they would pull through. Should have combined them with another. Live and learn.

    Using boardman feeder but plan on changing to using a deep box with can feeder on top of frames tomorrow. Bottom just drawn comb. 2nd had some eggs larva and capped brood in few frames. Little honey...

    Just did a hive inspection on a hive this evening. Had 3 deeps with top full of honey 3 weeks ago. Today honey is mostly gone. Robbing must have been bad. Put entrance reducer on and filled feeder....

    White spots on bees

    Have a hive that has several bees that have some white spots on them that looks like white paint? Any ideas what it is? Most spots on top of bees. Appx. 20 or so I saw in hive.

    Watch for wax moth and hive beetles on patties. I just pulled some back out and put back in freezer. They were covered with tiny worms i think were wax moth larva. Glad i saw them. Good luck Ben :)
