    Re: Super bee 1 K

The joint of the Super Bee looks like it is superior to the Hummer for the fact that it allows it to pivot rather than hold the front end rigid creating stress on the joint. Is that why they snap ?...

Could be, I have nothing to pick it up to tell. I was going by water weight alone, I am sure it is more like you say.

    Re: Maxant bottling tank problem

I'm sure it's a bad thermostat, I will be replacing the whole unit for now. I can't risk putting too much heat into the honey, we like to keep it as close to the hive temp as possible.

I found a replacement thermostat but it's half of the price of a new complete unit, so I will just get a new one and keep this one for parts. The heating element is still good, the probe thermo is...

Did the Thymol/ Bee Tea you are testing have any effect on the counts ? Really interesting stuff you are doing Ian, very good information.

I have been reading a lot on the BQCV and was only concerned if I didn't feed them any Fum-B they could have issues. I only need 200+ cells this year and wanted to get some opinions.
