I would agree with TSK. That bee is definitely a queen to me. Maybe 2 or 3 lbs package will be the shot in the arm to propel what bees Radu has left over the winter.

@max2: I agree. Not all honey measured by volume will weigh the same because the weight depends on the viscosity or thickness of the honey.
If others keep bees in big cities, maybe Marenostrum can also try it in Istanbul, and so join the ranks of countless urban beekeepers?

Aside from being smaller, a virgin queen scurrys around the frame in a faster pace. The mated queen moves at a much slower pace, regal, almost. My observation.

I would tend to agree with Pokerman11. Spin the uncapped cells first and use either for mead or even home consumption. I would also extract frames having only 10% or less
