I use screws for everything I put together and predrill the holes . also check the size of nail or screw maybe to big for the board. I also use gorilla glue to help keep things together .

so I've read that beehive entrance should be placed facing south ? Now I read somewhere that they should face east? Which is correct and why? thanks for your help.
