    I am very new to wood working and I would like to make my own hive boxes (using box joints).
    My problem is we don't have tables saws here in my country that can accommodate a dado...

    We believe the primary source of food for the hive beetle is the banana plant which is very common in the Philippines. Also, we noticed at first that they seem to invade ONLY weak or dead stingless...

    Philippine Hive beetle

    This pic was taken from my friends farm.
    The hive beetles are brown in color and somewhat larger than the shb here in the US.
    They recently invade Honeybees especially the weak ones just 3-5 years...

    the breed in our farm is already been cross breed, apis mellifera ..in our case we just use the propolis for local use but i heard one company is buying the propolis in other farms...
