    I wish I could say the same here in Connecticut I am baffled the Goldenrod is flowering but the bees are not bringing in nectar not sure if the goldenrod is nectarless.

    You could always remove some of the frames and extract the honey. Put them back in and the bees should clean them up nicely for the new queen to lay.

    Sorry to hear that Vance. Last year yellow jackets killed a bunch of my nucs but I have not seen many yj's this year. Maybe the ground is too wet. Not sure. Counting my blessings!
