    Re: Bee Navigation

What's the temperature? If you move the hive below 40F, it should not matter. Your bees will orientate themselves when leaving the hive. If it is about 45F, some bees may be out cleansing. "Move...
  2. Re: Trick to getting bees to notice pollen substitute?

If you are feeling the unseasonably warm temps where you are like we are in Northeastern PA, then you may be noticing dandelions popping up. I've always noticed that if they can get fresh pollen...

I guess I just think of my customers well-being. I'm not sure what laws and...

Re: How do you remove pickle smell????

Yup. I worked in the food industry years ago. We used bleach to clean the floors, walls, countertops. We never used it on pots, pans, plates, utensils or anything that came into contact with food...

Re: How do you remove pickle smell????

I don't think that I'd want to store my honey in buckets that held bleach for weeks. Sometimes it's not the wiser to be cheap. Go spend the $3.99 for the bucket and $1.99 for the lid at Lowes.

I was told by a Master Beekeeper to "over super in the Spring". They'll fill what they can, but can never have too much space.
