I only boil for one minute no longer.
Anybody got any good books or directions for making honey bars with nuts /oatmeal etc?
You can build one out of a industrial garment washer. It will spin fast enough.
Could be a couple of things.Wrong size wicks or air in the wick.
Are these moulded or dipped candles?
Are these braided wicks you are using?
I sell colonies with two brood boxes[ 9 3/4"]
for $300canadian.Nucs for $125canadian.Queens for $25canadian.
I will try that.Thanks
FW Jones in Quebec has the Jumbo boxes but no foundation.
I tried that and the bees seem to make mostly drone comb!!
That is amazing.I should try it next year.
Anybody got a good source/supplier of jumbo foundation?
That is alot of frames, will the bees be able to handle a brood nest that wide?I always thought the widest would be 12 frames.
Thanks for the input,I use a jumbo, 10 frame on the bottom and 6 " on the top for the winter. They work well.I find the are easy to work. Most of the time there is honey in the 6". When a honey flow is...
I started using this product last year and it was my best year of spring build up.It is a very good product but dangerous.
My all time favorite is Beekeeping @ Buckfast Abbey,I read it at least once a year.
Does anybody use these Jumbo deep boxes?
