    5 out of 5 still going strong on the Cape - first year I used quilt boxes! I can't say that they're the reason for survival, but I'll surely use them again next winter.

    May not be quick, but quite accurate: mix 768 teaspoonsful of sugar to 1 gallon or 3840 teaspoonsful of sugar to 5 gallons of water for 1:1 syrup.
