    I agree we had a very long stretch of very cold temps here in Kentucky also, talked to a few local guys and some had lost all and several over 40%. Its in the low 50s today and mine are all out...

    We had some record setting temps here this winter (-22) and as of today I am blessed to say I have zero dead outs or lost hives. I think my treatments and feeding brought me thus far!

    I did not see any pollen except for the couple hand fulls of sub I put out and they took it up quickly.

    I ended up not making the trip to HF today to get a brad gun, had to tear out a Beaver dam...

    Yes I had swarms from my own last year not feral. I also still made honey and quite a bit of sourwood. I just don't have the time to go throught them weekly for cells and did the same thing last year...

    Thanks guys I am heading to HF today (2 hr drive) and will get just that.

    Waiting on it to warm up before I leave it is suppose to reach 54 here today and plan on installing a few of Lauris sugar...

    Have 3-4 that are lagging and did not produce those r the ones I want to requeen anyway and have had to keep a eye on all winter and they are all at the home yard. So if I split those 4 will need 8...

    Here at my home I have 15 surviving as of now. That's the ones im wanting to increase. Like to run around 40 here at most but have another 11 at another yard.

    I bought a senco stapler and love it but have over 600 pcs foundation to install and wanna brad the wedges and totally leave out a hammer lol.
