    I would use a ratchet strap on each hive to make sure they stay together while you travel down the road, also like red said seal the entrance with screen

    Chad,

    Yes the bees will fix that comb.... if you had wax moth damage I would put the bad frames in a trash bag and put them in the freezer for 3 days to kill off any eggs left behind.

    I built mine out of 1/2 ply pretty simple and I used the basic ideas from others I saw on the net. I put a window in mine so I could see how the bees are doing while they are getting sucked in, also...

    They are not finding the syrup, splash a little down the whole and lead them to it. I had the same problem splashed a little around the entrance and they came right to it.

    Steve, NICE TEST !!!!! I really felt that ya'll were under estimating how strong that cleat was, I bet, had you glued it with Titebond III it would have hung there with the 100 lbs on it. I hung 5...

    Well I am going to be hanging 5 10 frame deeps this weekend with it. I think you may be under estimating the strength
