    I have a dedicated area of 12'x24' extracting room + 10'x12'x10' tall shed for equipment. I think I could run 300 hives with that.
    What # of hives are you running now & what is your P&L averages...

    Specialkayme. I started w/2 hives 09. did some math & thought I would go big or stay home. I have found that after getting to 80 hives there are a lot of variables that make "an average" elusive....

    Yes they are Tomcat bait blocks. I could make bait boxes in my shop. I elected for fast & convenient. I have had much success eradicating mice & rats around my feed areas w/these blocks.

    The hives are all elevated off the ground about 18". 3 deeps full! this particular yard I wanted to leave plenty of honey. I don't expect to lift them. I think the poison + traps maybe the way to go....

    Got a couple hives that look like mice tracks @ entrance. obviously left entrance too large.

    I have not checked these hives since Aug when they were in need of supering, I gave each a deep...now packed w/honey. there has been some issues w/thieves in our area. I can't see how all 5-6 hives...

    Not sure what happened to 6-of 8 hives; all had three deeps, were nucs in early june graduated to fully drawn deeps end of July, added 3rd deep early Aug.

    Mark, I did not notice. I saw that bees were not leaving. I spritzed it liberally, maybe 7-8 times, nothing crazy.
