Re: Swarm commander: Does It Really Work?

I'll try that if I can't get an order placed through the Swarm Commander site.

Re: OAV treatment with sugar on the hive

Thanks snL for the advice. I got my vaporizer today and it looks like a high quality piece of equipment. I'm eager to try it out.

Re: OAV treatment with sugar on the hive

My thoughts are that sugar absorbs water in the hive. It might also absorb OA vapor. If it does then the bees are going to eat it. Will it harm them if they do?

OAV treatment with sugar on the hive

I have put sugar on my hives using the Mountain Camp method. Is it ok to do a OAV treatment with the sugar on there or should I take the sugar off.
    Thanks

    Re: October swarm

    October swarm

I caught a softball sized swarm on 10/13/14. I put it in a 5 frame nuc that had 2 frames of empty comb and 3 frames of foundation. I put a pint of syrup on top and plan to feed as long as I can. I ...

    Re: Robber screen questions

Thanks for the responses. I think I am going to have to feed again, so I will leave them on for a while longer, then probably take them off when colder weather arrives.

    Robber screen questions

Should they be taken off for the winter? And it seems to me that they prevent bearding during hot weather. Would not bring able to beard add to the chances of a swarm?
    Thanks

Robbing has been my biggest problem, the only way I got it stopped was with robbing screens. Cutting down the entrance so only 1 bee could get through didn't help. Build you some robbing screens and...
