    Well...I combined them...and they're GREAT!!

    I've been feeding them and there's tons of activity and foragers packed with goods.

    and yes, beautiful weather.....nothing like working the hives without having sweat pour down your face!!!! not much of a flow, but the pollen is abundant.

    yes, i had an empty box over the top feeder. had inner cover under it for ventilation.

    i have planned to continue to feed 1:1, then next week will go to 2:1.

    PS the efb, shb, and moth infestation occurred about two months ago. All clean for over four weeks.

    Well....the Nuc has at most three frames of bees. The other weak hive has about six or seven frames of bees.

    Lots of great ideas.....I just don't think that the two weak hives will make it through the winter. I do like the idea of stacking them with a double screen board.

    I guess I can just keep feeding...

    I inspected our hives today and one of our hives is a new colony made from a cut outin the eave of a nearby house. Gave them drawn out deep and drawn out super and let them go to town.
