    Re: Warre hive comb collapse

Well everyone, I've decided to do nothing with the collapsed comb. As I mentioned earlier, it's concentrated in the upper (top) box of three, so it's not like it's brood comb. My next question...

Thanks, Chris . . . . . the hive is in shade from 3 PM on, so perhaps I need to provide more mid-day shade. I'll clean up the mess and let them draw more comb.

    Warre hive comb collapse

I just noticed that the top section of my Warre hive has suffered some significant comb collapse. (The bottom two sections are fine.) I am inclined to do nothing about it and just let the bees deal...

Wow . . . I'm glad I found this thread on Chuck Norton. I had a very bad experience with a David Winters, owner of Long Creek Apiaries, so I found Norton's website and was going to try his queens ....

I ordered over $600 worth of equipment (probably not a huge quantity, but it's a lot to me) this past spring. They shorted me a $12 plastic hat (was not included in the shipping, but was paid for). ...

The fact is, Long Creek Apiaries failed to keep the customer informed. Phone calls, emails made to your business go unanswered. Think about it . . . . I ordered 10 packages from various apiaries in...
