    Beeyard Aerial View

Might be fun to see some beeyards from above.

    Re: Fence Law Question

I'm not worried about that, this place has been an eye-sore for over two years and a druggie flop house haven for the last ten years before that.

    Re: Capping Punch,

I have one of these. It works OK on uneven comb where the knife cant reach or if you need to feed some honey back to the bees. I would not use it instead of a knife because it makes too many little...

Not sure about a block wall permit. There are two posted in front, one for the house and one for the driveway tear-out.

I have one of these and love it.
You will spend more than $200 building one yourself.

Re: Pollen In a cell builder

Made my first cell starter the other day with 8 cups of fresh pollen. After 48 hours all the pollen was gone.

I had two frames like this, 4 cups of pollen each.

  15. Re: Feed Honey or syrup to new package install?

I'm no expert. I had this same question two years ago and never asked it. Found out the hard way. :(
I would give them some light syrup in your top feeder so they can put it where they need it.

  16. Re: Is there a "normal" amount of dead bees at the bottum board?

Are any of you using Top entrances?
I am thinking they cannot drag them out.

Is this too many dead bees for a two week period?
  17. Is there a "normal" amount of dead bees at the bottum board?

I just want to know if this is a normal amount of dead bees for a two week period?

The hive is three medium high and the queen is laying wall to wall on about 12 frames in the two bottom boxes....
  18. Top mount Sundance Pollen Collector and drones questions

Re: Catching swarms in the spring.

I think it depends how big the swarm is. You can always use a follower board and make the deep any size you like.

Re: What Are These Bees Doing ?(pic)

This exact thing happened to me last spring when I put on a pollen trap. It took the bees about three days to figure it out.
