Storey Publishing eh? Coming out with a second book on beekeeping?
How does everyone out there make their sugar syrup. I mean more methods but ingredients are okay too. It is always such a pain for me.:pinch:
I would say that sounds high for only a single. But besides that where I live it is almost winter. And that means that some hives aren't going to be alive next spring. So, the way I look at it if...
I was just wondering about looking in the cells for eggs and whatnot. Wouldn't white frames be easier to see. I wonder which is a better example?
I didn't use a smoker much my first year and it kinda seemed they were calmer without smoke being used on them but that could have been due to anything. I wouldn't say there is anything bad about...
I thought about this myself, but never tried it. I would be interested in finding out more about this myself.
Tell him he should join beesource. The more the merrier :)
Because of the amount of work you have put into it, then I would take a split come spring and give it back. I do think your email is just a little harsh(somehow the ladies are always right). Most of...
yep, 6 lbs.
I would be worried about buying a hive going into winter. If the hive dies over winter you've lost most of your money and don't get any honey.
Jim said it! By the way I rrreeeaaallly like those pads. Then again it might have something to do with being 20 minutes away from their maker but they have always produced results for me!
You could always try making your own. It would be interesting to see what different people come up with. I am sure a commercial beekeeper would need a much different chart than a hobbyist.
Where all can you sell propolis? What's kind of the going price?
Is there a way to make something like this without any alcohol?
So would this be alchoholic?
I just put it on the barbeque. Sorry sqkcrk but I think that for the amount of time that it takes it is a good idea especially with a tool of unknown history. You never know where that hive tool...
Go onto the Bee Culture magazine website and add your town to their wall of shame. They are trying to collect all of the towns where beekeeping is outlawed. I am not sure about towns where they...
Way to go! Nice looking bottles and labels.
Gonna sell any?
I use screened bottom boards also. If you get bees this time of year you have to get them through the winter. If any die then you are out quite a bit. You also have to treat them and feed them and...
Thanks for the info guys. I went ahead and bought one. Looking forward to finding out how it works...
Saskatchewan eh? I guess your a Roughriders fan then, I was up there for 1 week and I went to a game and got converted. :o)
I agree with beeman. Not sure if you are able to extract anyway...
Pretty good rating! I think I am going to get one myself. Anymore comments?
Thanks for your input. Is there anyone else out there? I am always just so skeptical of battery operated machines. The battery never seems to last and you have to replace them.
