    Honey Bee color variations

    Why do i see different coloration of bees within the same hive, some light and some bark banded?
    Assuming a queen mates with 15 drones, how is the sperm she receives stored..is it all mixed up like...

    Hello
    I dont recall where or when i read it, but i thought i read somewhere that the bees will only bring pollen into a hive that has a laying queen.
    Is this true or a false..? I cant seem to find...

    Thanks...didn't want to waste 50lbs of sugar or half a bottle of medication..wasnt sure if it was like corn starch that will mix in cold and clump in hot water..Thanks

    Ok...but having never worked with it before will it disolve in cold water or disolve it in a cup of warm/hot water then pour it into room temp syrup???

    Methowkraig..i agree and dis agree with u..if u are alergic, u can die from one sting...some with local reaction get worse and worse with each sting...and ur hand the size of a football can get...

    steves1967, i too am a first year beek and i'm experiencing the same reaction as you..took 2 stings to hand 4th of july and was in er the next day..thought my hand would explode..i get bad swelling...
