    Re: water for bees

I bought a self-warering dog dish at Wal-Mart and filled the bowl with pea gravel up to the water line. Works great.

    Re: Swarmed Split?

John- I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. Split I made on March 23rd. Noticed that they were very strong last week and made a note that I might want to super them soon. Huge swarm came out...

All good advise so far. If it was me, I would brush all the bees off the comb Im moving into the bottom box (trying to ensure that the queen isnt going to be in my upper box). Put half the brood...

Re: Is this a sign of skunks?

I think it may be a skunk. The piles of bee bodies could be where a skunk has eaten the bees and regurgitated the parts he couldn't digest. Haven't seen it personally but I have heard of it described...

    Re: Flavored Creamed Honey

90 degrees is almost the temperature that creamed honey will liquify. I would keep your creamed honey in a cooler and put a few on the table for display/tasting.

Re: HONEY BUCKETS and grades of plastic
