    Sorry Jim, just seeing this. The Italian unit does not require an air compressor, the US "fast" unit does. My understanding is that OT doesn't close up his hives after treatment.

    A cheap heat gun can blow air that is 800-1200 degrees, be careful you don't scorch your OA and bees! You can buy adjustable temp. heat guns on Amazon and at some hardware stores but they cost a bit...

    A lot of those are programs administered by a few agencies, for example EQIP, CRP, NAP and ELAP are all one agencies' (USDA) programs, (FSA, NRCS, NASS and APHIS are all the same "agency" (USDA))

    Then give a few a try and see if you like them. The only "improvement" I made to mine was putting a piece of thin clear plastic sheet on the top (I used binder paper sleaves cut open to one layer)...
