    Re: First Cut Out

I'll add 1 thing you may want to consider. Wear a respirator or very good dusk(N-95) mask under your veil.
That black mold your going to have to disturb to get the comb out is more dangerous then...
  2. Re: Foxglove (digitalis pupurea) and Honey

After having 1000's upon 1000's of foxgloves growing in my gardens and yard. I've never seen a honey bee on one that I can remember, bumbles and masons yes but honey bees no.

    Re: 'what's new' button

    squarepeg,
The list depends on how long it is between log-ins. Somedays when I don't login for 2-3 days my new post list will be 4-5 pages. other days it may only be 1-2.

In this day and age with smart phones and technology. Get them to text or E-mail you a picture. It would cut down on a lot of mistaken Id or B.S.

Last date for a cut out

After searching thru the archives and not finding any info. My question would be,

When is the latest time in the season that you would do a cut out and expect a reasonable chance of the hive to...
  9. Re: Honey yield per hive in northern wisconsin

    John,
I would semi disagree with you on this. It may be highly unlikely to get 60lbs of honey but 60lbs total weight is not impossible. I did my 1st extraction yesterday with a medium super and the...

The keyhole is a nail puller.
We use ship scrapers/flat bars /hive tools for...
