    I have let bees clean the old stuff up and make it look good,but the other option is to solar melt it as Eikel said.
    Make sure if you solar it that the foundation is not plastic,it will ruin it.

    I have taken 20 plus hits many times with little reaction but my doc prescribed me pens for the just in case scenario.

    He said that you never know when that one sting might cause a reaction.

    A lot of my colonys are bearding right now,lots of bees and the heat,You will most likely find with cooler weather it will stop.
