New beekeeper, wanting to add my first super. I have all eight frams medium boxes. I also have drawn frames. I think I should alternate bare frames with drawn frames. What do you say.

I got out of my truck around 150 feet from the bees and one got me before I had both feet on the ground. I managed to put my bee suit on and when I approached the hive I was covered with bees trying...
I made one from a 5 gallon water container and a 8 foot 11/4" X 8' dowel rod. I glued the dowel in the neck of the bottle with epoxy and secured it with screws. I then cut the pole in half and...

How do the feeders work? My top bar hives do not have access to the top for the bees. I have thought of doing something to allow access but have not done so yet.
A hobby shop that has Radio Control airplane stuff will have them. They are used to attach the wings.

We have a trap on a bee tree and I think we need some brood in the box. The trap is a good 20 minute drive away. Will the brood survive that trip? Any suggestions?
Thanks, Paul
My follower board is cut to accept a boardman feeder from inside the hive. No robbers that way.
My mistake, you need to add water to the halfway mark and then add sugar until the container is full.
You took home two sheets of 4'X4'?
An instructor at a bee school said to fill your container to a half way mark and then add water until the container is full.
Walter Kelly is selling them.
We had no choice as to the weather being bad for trying to get the bees. The owner said they go now or he will spray them. We screened the entrance and put a screen cone on the screen. The hive is...

I have this and it should work well if you can clamp your frame somehow. The depth of cut is adjustable.

I bought mine from Amazon.com for less than one dollar. Shipping was three something.
Thanks very much for the replies. I have another question now. Would it be better to feed HFCS instead of sugar water?
In one of the beekeeping classes I took this spring the instructor said to make sugar water you should mark your container at the halfway point and also at the full point, fill to the halfway mark...
They are $50.00 and that includes shipping. They are a conversation piece if nothing else.
I received mine today and was impressed with the workmanship. It will be really fun to play with. It came with good instructions as to how to use it.
Thanks Mr. Fischer for the quick shipping...
