i had a hive last year that went laying worker, it took about 6 weeks before i saw evidence. i dont think it is a quick process as the oviaries in the workers take time to develope. (after they are...
i put on after all bees are in so they have to leave thru it. dont know if it matters or not.
they are mated.

what is wrong with fermented honey? i like things fermented.
unzipped hood, threw in washer then air dry. worked well.
so, what if i pull that and replace with new foundation? i kinda dont want to mess with them since she is laying on that med frame well, but if they dont get busy they will be pretty small going...

hi all, i had a laying worker issue with my only hive. i didnt have the resources to deal with it like mr bush suggests.(i will next year.) i ended up getting a queen in there and a medium frame...
i thought they cap after they get it to 17% moisture content.
gas is a sure thing. do not light it! it also kills the grass. and they do not come back.
before you order a new queen make sure you will get it in a timely fashion.
i saw a deep w/bees for 225. seemed high to me but they might get it.
we have ground hornets/yellow jackets that live in holes. they are nasty and if you run them over with a lawn mower they get angry. a pint mason jar of gas (after dark) will kill all the grass and...
my inner cover is under my feeder. my t cover is on top. i have seen pics of lots of burr comb under top feeders that have room for it. i think the inner cover serves as an upper boundry to the hive.
