    You can save the comb if you like, but if it were me I would burn the comb & bees. A fresh start with good bees would be my goal.

    In my opinion the bees look at the top bars as a honey cap and are more prone to swarming with so many bars to cross.

    a few years ago better bee had a extractor that extracted top bar. it was round and flat and you laid the comb flat on bottom, bar side out. you could call bb they may direct you.

    JBJ is correct. If you have any light color honey on your hives it will darken it and give it a honey dew flavor. I would take all my light color honey as soon as i noticed any dark nectar.

    When your screen or filter clogs put them outside in the shade bottom up and the bees will clean the wax out. this works when thier is no honey flow. I agree with the hot knife.

    I would put them back on a strong hive for a couple of days . The bees will clean the frames nicely. Then rob them again. If you are worryed about the wax worms & and eggs you can freeze the frames...
