    The frames are Langstroth width 17.750" and Dadant depth 11.250".

    Yes, these are track shoe spikes. Cost = 7 dollars for 14 pieces.

    Each end bar gets a spike near the bottom of the frame.

    I fabricate Jumbo frames that are 1.125 wide (top bar, end bars & bottom bar). I space them using track spikes, similar to hob nails.

    Have you kept any Caucasian colonies? I want them for their trait to propolise. The Carniolan hives that I have will smother SHB with propolis.

    I received a new extractor from Maxant, do they use an epoxy to seal the joints in the bottom of the tank? The one I received has a translucent material in the bottom corners.

    Will young queens from supersedure lay in a spotty pattern to start with?

    Installed package superseded their queen, she was runny for several days and now she has slowed down on the comb.

    I use Rite-Cell for them to start drawing straight comb, then install foundationless frames between drawn Rite-Cell.;)
