    Re: Best bee truck

I am currently using an 05 F350 crew cab with 9 ft bed. Its nice, but no 4x4 has me looking for a different truck. My first thought was to get away from the crew cab but there is often 3 or 4 of us...
  2. Re: Help with Expenisve Breeder queen introduction problem

I run 6 to 8 II breeder queens each year. I run them in double deeps with an excluder and honey super above. I pull capped brood out of them each week to add to my cell builders and most make a...
  3. Re: Help with Expenisve Breeder queen introduction problem

Use a much smaller nuc. I make mine up with 2 frames brood, 1 frame honey and just enough bees to cover frames. Use a push in cage and take your time. Build up stronger after she is accepted.

    Loader lights

My loader currently has only white lights. I won't to replace with either red or amber. Which works best.

    Re: When having queens shipped.

While UPS is a good option for overnight, it can get a little pricey for small orders. USPS express mail will get many places overnight with all others in 2 days. At $20 vs $40+ it really adds to...

I am shipping queens each week. Haven't put ad in for sale section because I have had more orders than queens so far. I still have a few left for week of June 10th and each week after. Sorry I...
  10. Re: Any experience with Western Bee Supply in Poulson, MT?

We order nothing but budget and have very few not usable. But we order 5 to 10 thousand at a time. If you only need a 100 commercial may be a safer bet.

    Re: Apiary Registration

No tax on livestock here. But a small registry fee per apiary location to help prevent encroachment by other beeks seems a small price to pay.
