After 2-3 days you wont be able to detect amitraz in wax. It takes bit longer to degrade in honey.

    Re: Question on Apivar

If the hive is strong, the brood nest should be in the bottom deep. Depending on how much pollen is coming in there should be some capped brood. Find the brood and place the strips in the brood area...

Apivar doesn't leave residues. The half life of amitraz is very short. Place the strips in the brood area.

I run this pump I built. Pump a gallon of 20% thinned syrup 55 in 7-8 seconds. 4 hp honda. Instead of running the pressure relief line back into tote, I have it running back into the main line.

    Re: Honey B Healthy

Bees might not fight but they could kill the queen. Spring time we boosted up 300 wintered nucs and 10% of time they fight and kill the queen. We would open the nucs and find a ball of bees over...

I run 10 in brood boxes for maximum brood and easier inspecting but 9 in honey supers. Almost no frame scratching after going through uncapper. 9 frame also gets us that extra wax from each frame.
