My hives were started in feb this vear via a split ,i have 2 and one started wasboarding about a month ago and are still doing it every day, last check everything was fine in the hive.

Could you just freeze the frams, then store them in something bug proof? seems like it would be safer, mothballs do leave a residue as far as smell goes and if you can smell it you can taste it.

I did not see any capped brood, just drone brood could your queen be gone or maybe she is a drone laying queen?

I have never seen bees on mine and they are suppose to repel insects

I can relate, i am also a farmer, but raise free range poultry, fowl, and some produce i can deal with the heat i just don't like it, and as you know when the heat index is 115 and the air is thick...

I am also on the gulf coast but have had morning temps in the 70 lately. It was 72 when i got up at 4 this morning wished it would stay that way all year, i hate the heat and the bugs that come with...

I mixed boric acid and crisco together, i got the boric acid at walmart, it is listed as "roach away" and cost around 3 dollars for a 1 pound bottle.

I set 2 bowls with honey residue out by my hives and they did not touch them,will they eventually? i removed them before nightfall and want to put them back out but not if they are not going to clean...

They are filling their second super , i do not think taking 2 frames this early will hurt them but i will keep an eye on them this winter just in case
