I placed the bucket behind the hives on a work table i have set up and the fighting stopped, they got everything cleaned up except the wax and i am gonna melt that down and add it to my wax jar...

Could you just freeze the frams, then store them in something bug proof? seems like it would be safer, mothballs do leave a residue as far as smell goes and if you can smell it you can taste it.

I have never seen bees on mine and they are suppose to repel insects
I can relate, i am also a farmer, but raise free range poultry, fowl, and some produce i can deal with the heat i just don't like it, and as you know when the heat index is 115 and the air is thick...

I am also on the gulf coast but have had morning temps in the 70 lately. It was 72 when i got up at 4 this morning wished it would stay that way all year, i hate the heat and the bugs that come with...

I mixed boric acid and crisco together, i got the boric acid at walmart, it is listed as "roach away" and cost around 3 dollars for a 1 pound bottle.
