Re: Whoo Hoo! Bees are flying!

A couple of days ago the bees were flying here north of Denver, but not today! We're in the middle of a blizzard. I was surprised to see some pollen coming in. I haven't seen any flowers blooming yet.

Grafting is more closely related to cloning, so it's almost the opposite of changing the genetics. Grafting allows us to create many individual living things with the same genetics. The root stock on...

Re: dead bees in front of entrance

I've noticed that when it's below 50 F and cloudy, the bees will drag out their dead and just push them off the landing board. I assume it's just too cold for them to carry off the dead like they...

  19. Poll: Re: Do you like Mead? Do you not like Mead? Have you tried Mead? POLL

I love good mead. Mead, just like any wine, can be good or bad and I've had some very bad mead. But I've also had some very very good mead. Don't write off mead if you've only had it once.
