    When making nucs we make two nucs per hive. Shake bees off brood and set into wooden nuc boxes and place those over excluders. Half hour later we pull and add cells.

    We use dexter leaf springs on and off road with no problems. One trailer has to be at least 20 years old with no problems. Tires still wear out evenly.

    I think your better off if you have the skids and 2x4 other way around. You could also move the entrance to the long side.

    Lot of folks use light foundation in supers just to see the color of honey better. I use both with no problems.
