    I just wanted to post back that I found a local source for drivert sugar - Mom & Pop doughnut shop. They are charged $36 for a 50 lb. sack; they are charging me the same, no mark up.

    Thanks, so 6 liters weighs 12.5 pounds, seems about right. 25 pounds of sugar (that can be purchased in one bag at the grocery) to 12.5 pounds of water (or 3 2 liters) for 2:1. Got it.
