  3. Re: propane insect fogger and FGMO as varoa treatment ?

There are lots of foggers gathering dust that beekeepers have used with FGMO. I tried it. Imported a fogger from England, cost me a fortune, what a waste of money.
Try doing a search on what...

No entrance on the week hive.

I don't have an answer for you, they just don't. Maybe it is because my bees are Carnica and they are less aggressive than other strains. I know some other...

    Same pic.
  10. Re: Setting up a mating nuc then transitioning from mating nuc to?

I overwinter nucs on 5 or 10 frames. The two frame mating nucs are just for queen production, but clearly these can be turned into five or ten frame nucs to overwinter by pulling queens and dividers.

Re: Is it worth trying to save?

Put a queen excluder onto one of the strong hives and your week hive on top of that, three weeks later you will have a viable colony in the week hive that you can return to its original hive stand.

Re: Is this a dead queen?

A larger photo would help us to decide.
  13. Re: Setting up a mating nuc then transitioning from mating nuc to?

No, I used them for re-queening production hives.
  14. Re: Setting up a mating nuc then transitioning from mating nuc to?

A mating nuc is used to produce mated queens whilst using a small amount of resources (Bees). Queen cells are placed in the mating nuc and later, with luck, mated queens are harvested (removed) and a...

  16. Re: Extractor-less honey by- "Honey Flow" - Flow Hive

Once you hit your target the % you pay indigo goes down, so it makes sense to set your target lower than the amount you hope to raise. But I agree 1000% must have been a big surprise.
    With people...

  18. Re: Extractor-less honey by- "Honey Flow" - Flow Hive

So Flow hive is just short of 7 million or 1000% over target, at $ 6,800,845. I wonder how many years a "regular" commercial beekeeper has to work to get that sort of turnover? Of course they have...

There was little honey stores, and probably what there was left was to far away from the bee cluster.
