    The bees shook into the package don't matter nearly as much as the queen included in the package. Looks like a solid layer there!

    I have seen them draw out a whole frames of drone comb during swarm season. I will just move those out to the sides for honey storage

    I will move the drone frames out to the side or above the cluster. They tend to then fill them with honey later in the season

    Lost 2 of 10 nucs and 2 of 14 full size colonies. Very cold and long winter. Several wouldn't have made it except I added extra boxes of honey and/or sugar bricks

    Yes looks like they were bringing in cream and pale yellow pollen, very exciting! They were working crocus and snowdrops in my yard, and I saw red maples in bloom

    We have a lot of henbit here in sw michigan. The bees work it for the bright orange red pollen.
