I will look at the this. Thank you.
Thanks for getting back to me.
Thank you for your advice.
That's fine. Thx
How long do bees live? How long will the queen live? If I re-queen an aggressive hive, how long does it take to "breed out" the aggressiveness?
Does anyone have a real strong opinion on the "best" type of hat, veil, and bee suit? I think I prefer a jumpsuit. Thanks, BBK
Sounds good dizzy. Let me know. Thanks, BBK
I hope so. This forum will be invaluable. I am concerned and have questions with the heat we have here, which easily gets 110F+ in the summer. I big on calendaring, so I need to know when to extract...
Great idea Peter. Between waiting until spring, using the wire, splitting the boxes and re-queening each, I have a very good plan for the spring for this hive. Thanks again everyone!
Thanks for the advice Jrg. I will wait until spring and then split them. I have a lot of work to do to to get them apart and get them cleaned up a little. Plus, I have found a bee keeper on a farm...
This farm is not that far from where I live, probably less than two hours. I looked at the website, and it doesn't appear that there has been much activity on it since last March. Regardless, I will...
That makes complete sense and should be obvious to me...argh, so much to learn. Thank you, and love the user name.

Of course? I'm still very new at this. I'm still in 101. Thanks for the advice.
That does make sense. It does get very hot here. I'll wait. Thanks.
I got it Barry...Thanks.
Good idea...but how (I'm new).
Thanks Kirk...
I have inherited a hive that is three boxes high. The previous keeper hasn't work them in at least 18 months. I tried to check them, but when I pulled the top box to take some of the honey, the bees...
Bunkerville Bee Keeper is too long. Can anyone tell me how to edit my username?
Thanks Jeanette for the kind words. I agree I should be able to find someone close, but I hope to learn from everyone. I don't know if beekeeping is that different from region to region. Thanks for...
Hello,
I'm new to bee keeping and live in a small rural town 90 miles Northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm looking for other bee keepers who live in the Nevada/Arizona/So. Utah area. I'm following...
