    when I make the 3 hole cage I use a forstner bit 3/4 with 3/8 drill bit for ends. wood blanks are 3inches long by 1and 1/4 wide. I use scrap wood all wood is 3/4 inch

    I think you are referring to a frame cut 2 right in the middle and bars are 19 inches long so divide in half you will need to use end bars on it.
    I just make mine using 3/4 material you don't need...
