Like all of us, I try to give my new...

    Re: stimulative feeding

    stimulative feeding

Is anyone planning on stimulative feeding this spring? I haven't tried this before, but am interested this year.

I see two ways of doing this:

    1. give each hive a half-cup of 1:1 syrup every...

Re: 3rd Hivebody or Honey Super?

Thanks for the quick reply, Konrad.

They'll have to build out the comb in the super - I'm starting from wax foundation. Should I continue the feeding while they are drawing out comb or suspend...

Yes, I'd love to start making some mead when I return. Collecting honey will be a great opportunity. I've got about 30 gallons of strawberry, peach, pear, and blueberry bulk aging. I...

There is a group in North Alabama called Alabees. I'm not a super-social guy, but I'm going to try and contact them when I return. Their website seems very...

    Thanks for the welcome, David.

Beekeeping has been a growing idea for a couple of years now. I did some casual reading before, but am putting more effort into my learning as time allows.

    I'm...

    Intro from Iraq

    Hi everyone!

After considering beekeeping for the last couple of years, I've taken my first steps by ordering a book from Amazon and signing up here.

I won't be trying to cultivate a hive here,...
