Re: Who took my beehives in Gypsum, Colorado?

No they weren't registered with the state and the apiary inspection program I think is not mandatory.

Re: Who took my beehives in Gypsum, Colorado?

The problem with that is I'd be in trouble with the law if I stole them back. I still haven't located them yet, but I 've got some ideas.

  11. Re: Dadant 12 frame extractor.. should I buy or not

I have one and it's a great extractor. I would only buy it if your thinking of expanding your apiary to more than a few hives. You can probably get yourself a used 3 frame extractor for a decent...

    Re: Fondant questions

I'd worry more about what's in it, than where to get it. To many impurities could lead to digestive problems.

Re: Just had my first complaint.

Bummer. Next time you talk to the guy, ask him where in his yard he got stung. Then ask if he could show you because there may be a yellow jacket hole some where in the yard and you'd be happy to...

Re: Dadant - need to be patient?

When dealing with Dadant on a large order, I was surprised to learn that they aren't computerized. I thought that's pretty amazing considering the times. Dadant came through in the end though.

    Re: Hivetop Feeder Troubles

I could be wrong, but the reason I vent the feeder is, I figure there's enough moisture caused by the syrup in the first place. It helps to minimize the problem of any additional moisture in the hive.

  20. Re: New Beek got stung... FUNNY! But what is the best treatment?

Benadryl extra strength itch stopping cream works great applied soon after being stung. It also seems to help with the swelling and it's easy to carry around in your pocket or glove compartment.:D
