I can find the melting point of oxalic acid (216-217 F), but what is the temperature that it sublimates to vapor for treating a hive?
Extra credit question: If it gets to hot it will break down...
So scratch all the cappings... Anything I can do to increase my chances of moving the honey and not causing swarm prep to start?
If I were to place frames with capped and un-capped honey under a queen excluder would the bees move it up into the supers, or would I just be limiting the laying space and creating a swarming...
Excellent, thank you.
It would be about 10 hives at any one location at one time. I could charge the battery again before the next location.
For those using it with a stand alone battery (not in the car battery) what are you using. Went to Batteries Plus today, they recommended a huge deep cycle ~70Ah battery and a fancy deep cycle...
Why not ask at Dadant in Chico, they may be willing to help the school out:

Ship on Saturdays. If you ordered with Russian queens they are behind schedule and should be shipping this next week.
As the bees start drawing out foundation the queen will start laying in the partially drawn frames before the bees will start filling in the nectar. The bees will finish drawing out around the eggs...
The second photo look like lychee fruit maybe?
Is there a frame rest/rabbet in the box?
10,000 colonies/450 per load * ~3,000 miles away = 66,666 miles in road time in just one direction... yikes!
I am just curious, I have no intentions of hauling or having that many bees... But in a conversation with a local nuc supplier they said they had 10,000 colonies in the CA almonds right now. I am...

It is sap season and the trees have started flowing on the days it gets above freezing... It takes a lot of sap to make syrup so it is precious stuff, and every year there is a contest between to old...
It depends on the flow and wax makers as to how long before they attach the comb, but usually not long at all. The bees will chew and remove the rubber bands.

Is 3/4" needed to keep the heat from melting wax on the lowest frames over the vaporizer?
Any specs on how it is manufactured? Costs?
I can't say that I have tried it, but MP states that he can take a laying queen from one hive and walk her right into another queenless hive without caging her for introduction. I personally have...

What is the rim depth as a bottom board?
What happens when you flip the lid and put it on top, doesn't rain get stuck in the corners of the rim and have a chance to soak into the wood? Why not just use it with a 3" top entrance as well?
I checked, it isn't on Netflix, Amazon Instant charge $2+ per episode to watch it and the CBS app isn't worth beans... Guess I either need to buy the DVD or wait for the eternity it will take Netflix...
