    I sprayed roundup this am on 3 acres. I will plant white sweet clover and yellow sweet clover in about 3 weeks. Needs lot of lime. I am across the river in western KY.

    Google... Georgia bees top bottom board...John Pluta has a video for a combo top/bottom board. Very simple and versatile. so far I love them.

    Remedy ultra(triclopyr) is pretty effective on blackberries. Mow in the fall and then spray in the spring or mow now and spray in the fall. Fall spraying is supposed to be better. and spraying while...

    Sounds like perhaps your smoke is too hot?, thus the first casualty. Blow smoke on your hand to make sure it is cool. Also hot smoke tends to make bees agitated. hope this helps.

    I went to home depot yesterday and got 2 1x8x12's for 12:50 each. I can make 4 medium 8 frame boxes. so about 6.50 each plus glue and nails.

    The plane is a 1939 Piper J4a cub coupe. I currently have one my dad and I restored. We also have a 1940 cub that was used for east coast sub patrol.

    I have heard tobacco honey is bitter. I live in KY where a lot is grown. This came from Kent Williams who has several hundred hives. I do not remember bees in the burley tobacco when we topped it....

    You will need to sow more seed if you get non-inoculated. The seed supplier can tell you at what rate.

    I am a new beekeeper and try to read anything I can on bee's. If I wanted to read about chickens, Tractor Supply, where I got Beeculture has chicken mags too which I do not choose to spend my money...
