    It's a combination of both. The bumblers are physiologically more suited to certain species like sunflowers and red clover....

    It's been an abnormally cool summer in Wisconsin, but the raspberries have been bumper. It's hard to tell if it's the weather or the bees. As others have mentioned, bumblers are a major factor.

    I need to build up a hives stores FAST!, or I know they won't have reserve to make the winter. The hive has a large brood ball in two deeps, but they haven't seemed to store any honey on the sides. ...
