    Re: Over wintering hives

You've probably been asked this, but would it be possible to try some "secret brew" in Canada? How to?

to my embarrassment, we did not change the oil on the pumps this summer. We have not tracked ours. We run reg 5w30. I considered that perhaps oil was my problem. You think so?

    Syurp pump

We were running 3 truck geared up for feeding in frame feeders this year. I'm happy with the design of the hose, reel, and return. But we kept having problems with our pumps.

    The pumps went...

    Re: Oxalic drizzle in winter

I love this idea and had considered it...we got 1500 done in day one but it was with 8 guys. So if I do it with a sprayer...

-can I over apply the OA? Can it do damage?

    - I know this is done...

    Oxalic drizzle in winter

I heard some reports around of beeks in the area seeing lots of dead fresh looking bees out in front of hives the last few weeks, so I decided to check some of mine. Didn't see any of that, so...

Jean-Marc, I'm curious about splitting so late. We run our bees in the North (not Peace north, but north enough) and then move them south for winter to Niagara, so perhaps a similar situation. ...

Pallets of 4 doubles, or singles if they didn't get big enough for a second box. Wrapped 2 together. We're in Niagara, quite mild...but damp, which isn't ideal.
