    I would not panic. Just make sure the frames are tight. I thought I messed up my install last year but they turned out alright. After a few days with frames and feed check for the queen or eggs. ...

    Thanks for the advice. I was going to use 9 frames in teh brood box pushed close together. But you are right that with new foundation that does not make sense.

    There are no bees alive. Only about a dozen were in dead in the comb (some heads down). All the rest were asleep on the screened bottom board. There are about 5 frames of honey in each hive.
