    Re: found hive while hunting!!!

Found one here in Wisconsin last year very similar to this one. Spotted mine after leaves fell in late fall. It was located in a flowering crab only 60-70 feet from my hives and I had never spotted...

Re: Lost all my hives! :-(

I would be worried about the river bottom. Cold settles into lower areas. I try to keep mine in an area that is protected from westerly winds, and have a southern facing exposure. Also wrap w/tarpaper...

Re: Lost all my hives! :-(

Yeah, that sucks. Feel for you as I've been there myself. I had a very good winter here in S.E. Wisconsin. Put 10 to bed last fall and had 8 make it through looking incredibly strong. Recently had by...

Re: Saw My First Swarm Today

Scott: You are not alone in the chase. Some years ago spotted a swarm taking flight from my hives. They eventually headed SW from my home. Followed them about 1/2 mile across the field next door...

Re: The girls are finally out today

Really felt good here today in S.E. Wisconsin. Temps in the mid to upper 40s. Best part though is that as of now I have 10 of 10 still alive. Still have some winter to get through but it looks...

Great pics Barry. I live north of Lake Geneva about 45 minutes. Lots of wild turkeys in this area. Now with spring I'm seeing the adult toms sitting out in the fields strutting their stuff. all...

Pretty much the same situation here as Barry has. Filling almost every other day. Good mix of birds but more finches this year than ever.

    Re: Rabbits

Definetly good eating. Have not had it in years but I also raised them for the frying pan at one time. Very easy to sell the surplus to once you find the right buyers. Good luck with them.

I usually cut up my old jeans when they get worn out. Easy to get going with a bit of paper and being a hobbyist they last long enough to check my hives before they are gone.

You could place an ad on Craig's List. No cost, local, and might get more per jar in price. I have had good luck here selling asparagus that way.
