    Re: Reducing swelling?

I got stung early this spring on my hand and it started swelling up a lot. I put some tea tree oil on the area and swelling was gone totally the next day for what it's worth.

Re: Mini nucs, are they worth selling?

You might be able to sell them locally on Craigslist. I see nucs, hive bodies and such for sale on CL here. You should consider selling nucs with bees on CL that is def a way to make some extra money.

Thanks Walt I didn't know they would keep making comb if fed generously during the dearth I thought they only made comb during the flow that is good info.

What was the nature of the activity you saw was it one or two bees or a lot more coming and going? Like queen bee said could be scouts. I saw similar at my traps before.

I painted the outside of my hive with exterior latex also. I didn't really seal it but there was a couple of cracks I put some duct tape on until the bees fixed them from the inside with propolis.
